Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham is having the time of his life. He has cemented his place in the Dortmund first-team and is one of the untouchables in midfield. The young English midfielder has shown composure far beyond his years and is one of Europe's most highly-rated central midfielders. His ball carrying abilities, along with his vision and ability to dictate the game's tempo have been appreciated by pundits and peers across the footballing world.During the 2022/23 summer transfer window, Bellingham's future was much-discussed as the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool came calling for his signature. Since then, the midfielder has featured for Dortmund in 95 games and recorded 11 goals. He has also assisted his teammates on 18 occasions. Bellingham's current Dortmund contract is set to run through until the summer of 2025.Earlier during this transfer window, Dortmund lost its talismanic striker Erling Haaland to Manchester City. After Haaland's departure, the Dortmund hierarchy was reluctant to part with another key piece in the Dortmund puzzle. However, what happens next summer is up for debate. According to reports, Liverpool already has a mammoth bid lined up for the youngster, and Real Madrid is set to provide stiff competition as well.Reportedly, Liverpool has the upper hand in terms of luring Bellingham away from Dortmund. The Reds could also do with some youth in their midfield as several midfielders such as Thiago, Jordan Henderson and James Milner are approaching the ends of their respective careers.
