The result leaves Monchengladbach in 9th place in the league table as Mainz finds itself in 5th place only a point behind Union Berlin and Bayern.Freiburg and Dortmund continue to be the pace setters in the early weeks of the new Bundesliga season, with both teams on 12 points after 5 games. At the other end of the table, strugglers VfL Bochum are yet to register a point after losing all their games.
