The weekend's Bundesliga action saw Borussia Monchengladbach's unbeaten run coming to an end as Mainz recorded a victory by a solitary goal. Aaron Martin, the Mainz left-back, came up with the winner at Borussia Park. The match provided a great opportunity for Monchengladbach to go level with the likes of Union Berlin and Bayern Munich. The result leaves Monchengladbach in 9th place in the league table as Mainz finds itself in 5th place only a point behind Union Berlin and Bayern.Freiburg and Dortmund continue to be the pace setters in the early weeks of the new Bundesliga season, with both teams on 12 points after 5 games. At the other end of the table, strugglers VfL Bochum are yet to register a point after losing all their games. Wolfsburg and Augsburg are occupying the other two relegation places - the former is yet to win a game while the latter has only managed one win so far.
